Company History
Team Valley was opened in 1936 by King George VI and is the oldest trading estate in the UK. It was originally home to heavy industries such as coal mining and shipbuilding .
As the biggest business park in the UK, it had become victim to rising crime in the mid-90s.
In 1996 the Valley Watch scheme was set up to combat crime through CCTV, an efficient and cost effective security watch solution.
It’s mission was to enable customers to live and work in a crime free environment.
In a ten year period, Valley Watch’s CCTV Monitoring Station has assisted Police in making significant arrests and reduced burglary and overall criminal activity in the area.
Commercial confidence has since been boosted and there has been a major downturn in crime figures. The Valley Watch Scheme has made Team Valley Trading Estate a safer and better place to work.
Our Affiliations
We work alongside Northumbria Police and liaise closely with other local and national agencies working throughout the country. Passionate about providing effective security - our mission is to create a crime free environment for all those visiting or working in Team Valley.
